Why GT is better than wherever you went/go to school

There is a new Facebook group that a bunch of my friends are joining called “I want to know what happened to the T at NC State!” Of course, being curious (I thought someone had stolen the T again and it had put in an appearance at the NC State game). Rather, it seems the case is that someone managed to steal one of the T’s from off the NC State logo inside the stadium, during the football game:
As you can see, the “T” was there during part of the game … :
… but vanished later:These images come from that Facebook group, by the way.
At first, the story on the group’s board seemed to be that some NC State maintenance workers came to remove the “T” because it was loose and they were worrying about it hitting someone. Then this was posted:
“It was not taken down by nc state people becuase i was sitting rite there when it happened 4 georgia tech fans disguised themselves as worker people then after they stole it they threw off there worker clothes and were wearing tech stuff one a clavin johnson jersey one a final 4 shirt on a georgia tech football shirt the other i cant remember then they ran like crazy i tired following but i couldnt keep up.”
Ignoring the rather faulty grammar (we are an engineering school, after all), I think that’s awesome. This is similar to the time when a group of students stole all of the “T“s in all of the building names around campus due to the Draconian measures taken by the administration after an attempt was made to grab the “T”. Anyway, you can keep all your school traditions, because my alma mater stole part of another school’s logo during a home game and (apparently) got away with it.
